The Duke is an 18-hole golf club located 10 minutes west of I-10 on Queen Creek Road near the town of Maricopa. Designed by David Druzisky, the course has several memorable holes with no two alike. Measuring 7,011 yards from the back tees, the golf course has plenty of length to keep the expert player interested and at the same time will not trounce the novice. Best of all, no first-tee jitters here, because the first fairway is 45 yards wide.
The greens roll very well, are undulated but fair and are receptive to well-struck shots. Make no mistake about it, poor shots will be penalized by a well placed bunker or water hazard like the island green on the par-3 5th hole.
