The Desert Springs Golf Club is a favorite in Arizona golf.
Located in the Northwest Valley, Desert Springs Golf Club brings a
unique change to the Sun City Grand area courses. Desert Springs
offers a challenging and upscale course, designed by Billy Casper
and Greg Nash. This
desert-style course opened in January, 1997 and is part of the Del
Webb Development plans, which will includes three additional
courses that are set to open in the area in 1998. The golf course
utilizes seven sets of tees allowing challenging golf play for
individuals of all levels. When played from the back tees, golf
play is very challenging, even to the most experienced
of golfers. Desert Springs offers 17 bodies of water,
although water only comes into play on the 9th and 10th holes. There
are seventeen water hazards that come into play, making accuracy
crucial.
Surrounded by the White Tank Mountains, this course challenges all
levels of golfers. Wide fairways and beautiful white sand bunkers
make play challenging yet playable. The hole 5-10 play to the
heart of the course yet holes 11-14 seem to test every golfers
skill. The championship tees offer a course length of 7,006 yards
and the forward tees give a relaxing game of 5,283 yards. This
"soft desert" design will provide an enjoyable yet
exciting game and the excellent service will bring you back again
and again
